Assembly Process
The assembly equipment for the AquaArmour™ modules was designed and developed in conjunction with Darcan Engineering, who has 20 years experience with machine building. The modules can be manually assembled (for small farm applications), or semiautomated for small to medium applications of 2 to 4 hectares, or fully automated for large deployments. The modules are securely fastened together around the perimeter using one of two methods:
-
Fully automated perimeter heat welding for major storage applications
-
High strength stainless steel stapled perimeter (type 304 or 316) for rural and small applications
Deployment
As each AquaArmour™ module is assembled, they are deployed into the water storage and take approximately three minutes to take in ballast water. The modules naturally self tessellate and are not tethered together. Booming options are available if required.
